We are now accepting submissions for our annual creative nonfiction contest judged by Karan Mahajan. The winner will be published online this spring/summer in phoebe 47.2. We encourage you to take a look at our previous contest winners. Only contest winners will win prize money, but we hope to publish some outstanding honorable mentions alongside our prize winner in phoebe 47.2. We look forward to reading your work. - Your name and contact information must not appear anywhere else on the manuscript.
- You may submit multiple entries, but must pay an entry fee for each new submission.

Karan Mahajan is the author of Family Planning, a finalist for the International Dylan Thomas Prize, and The Association of Small Bombs, which was shortlisted for the 2016 National Book Awards, won the the 2017 NYPL Young Lions Award, and was named one of the New York Times Book Review's "Ten Best Books of 2016." In 2017, he was selected as one of Granta's Best Young American Novelists. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, The New Yorker Online, n+1, and other venues.
